A Wandering Wino shares the wine/travel/life adventures of Vino Bambina, a model by day, total wine nerd by night, a photographer at heart, and a complete travel addict with a deep need for exploration.
I am Vino Bambina. I dwell in Manhattan’s West VIllage where I’ve worked as a fashion model for seven years. Before moving to the big city, I spent a good amount of time abroad, mostly Europe, and a bit in Asia. After one summer in Athens, Greece as a model in college, I became hooked, and, well, didn’t return home for a good few years. It was during this time that I cultivated what would become my two true passions in life – vino and globe-trotting. Travel, photos, wine, fashion, music, discovery; thus became my life and newfound, one-of-a-kind education.
I am currently enrolled at the Diploma Level at the WSET. Yeah, I know a good bit on the subject, but by no means, plan to make this another snooze fest wine blah blah blog. I have turned complete haters into the biggest wine snobs I know, and am damn proud of it, but I didn’t do it by boring them to tears. It is such a beautifully beguiling thing, wine, I wouldn’t want one single person to miss out. Okay, so it has been established that this blog may have a wine focus but I also intend for it to be much, much more.
In general, I am just a lover of life and of all the crazy places that it can take you. I would like this blog to reflect my adventurous free spirit and storytelling nature. After all, isn’t that what life is all about – telling stories? Whether through words, or photos, or video, I hope to connect with the collective. I hope to inspire and entertain. I hope to put the “style” in lifestyle. I hope to forever see the world with new eyes, and ultimately take you and many, many others along for the wild ride.
Cheers,
Vino Bambina
